Doane University has been named to U.S. News & World Report's list of "Best National Liberal Arts Colleges." Doane is the lone school in Nebraska to appear on the list.

The U.S. News & World Report rankings compare institutions using a number of factors, including graduation and retention rates, undergraduate academic reputation, faculty resources, and financial resources per student.

Doane also appeared on U.S. News & World Report's list of "Top Performers on Social Mobility." As stated in their methodology, "Economically disadvantaged students are less likely than others to finish college, even when controlling other characteristics. But some colleges are more successful than others at advancing social mobility by enrolling and graduating large porportions of disadvantaged students awarded with Pell Grants."
