Welcome to Doane!
This "College on a Hill" has come a long way since its founding in 1872. However, we are still a young university in spirit and purpose.
Doane's founding President David Brainerd Perry once wrote, "the college should be a place that prepares young people, for the work of life." He was right in 1872, and he will be right in 2072.
We strive to be a model of academic excellence defined by the opportunities and challenges that students face in the 21st century. Doane is a distinctive place, a college born in the liberal arts tradition and raised in the nation's heartland. We know that every generation faces a new frontier, we provide students with the skills and knowledge they need, today and the future.
Doane has grown with the times. We expanded to 4 campuses across Nebraska. The Crete campus is for the traditional, undergraduate student while our Omaha, Lincoln and Grand Island campuses offer flexible schedules and night classes for students who wish to continue their education while balancing life's responsibilities.
We opened our doors to those beyond the Cornhusker State with our Online Learning Academy. DoaneX, Innovative Learning, and Instructional Design Services are products of internal and external collaborations to offer our students the very best in modern, tailorable higher education options.
Doane is a community. Our faculty and staff work closely with undergraduate and graduate students to prepare them for lives rooted in intellectual inquiry, ethical values, and dedication to engage as leaders and responsible citizens in the world.
It is a pleasure and a privilege to be Doane University's 13th President.
