Advanced Program Completers Hiring

Measure 4:  Ability of completers to be hired in education positions for which they have been prepared.

Doane University College of Education Advanced Program completers are employed in a variety of public and private school districts. Below are numbers of 2020-2021 completers who have obtained endorsements from the Nebraska Department of Education in their fields of preparation, allowing them to qualify for positions for which they have been prepared, as well as a list of districts in which Advanced Program completers are currently employed. 


School Counseling Graduate Endorsement:

  • 22 completers obtained school counseling certification with Nebraska Department of Education within one year of program completion (91.7%)

Educational Leadership (building-level) Graduate Endorsement: 

  • 52 completers obtained administrative (principal) certification with Nebraska Department of Education within one year of program completion (80%)

Education Specialist (district-level) Graduate Endorsement: 

  • 8 completers obtained administrative (superintendent) certification with Nebraska Department of Education within one year of program completion (29.6%)

Reading Specialist Graduate Endorsement: 

  • 4 completers obtained Reading Specialist certification with Nebraska Department of Education within one year of program completion (66.7%)

Special Education Graduate Endorsement: 

  • None of 3 completers from 2020-2021 academic year have applied for Special Education certification with Nebraska Department of Education within the first year after program completion. 

Overall Graduate Endorsements: 

  • 86 of 125 completers (68.8%) from 2020-2021 academic year have sought and obtained certification in the area for which they have been prepared.
