Measure 1: Completer Impact and Effectiveness

In addition to the data provided below, plans for additional data related to 4.1 are in process with pilot data expected following the 2022-23 academic year.

Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) administers the Nebraska First Year Teacher Survey and Third Year Survey both to the principals and to the first year teachers (Spring 2020).  Evaluation indicators are based on Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) and Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) Model Core Teaching Standards, 2011.

First Year Teacher (FYT) Response Rates:
Doane University by principals is 75% and First year teacher survey by teachers is 71%.
Statewide FYT survey by principals is 58% and First year teacher survey by teachers is 62%.

Third Year Teacher Response Rates:
Doane University 3rd year teacher survey by principals is 60% and 3rd year teacher survey by teachers is 35%.
Statewide 3rd year teacher survey by principals is 62% and 3rd year teacher survey by teachers is 49%.

1st Year Teacher (2020-2021 School Year):
First year teachers employed in the 2020-2021 school year are May 2020 graduates at the initial undergraduate level and 2019-2020 cohort completers in the Initial Certification at the Advanced Level.

3rd Year Teach (2020-2021 School Year):
Third year teachers employed in the 2020-2021 school year are May 2018 graduate completers at the initial undergraduate level and 2017-2018 cohort completers in the Initial Certification at the Advanced Level.
